BHUTAN TREK – MARCH 2018

BHUTAN TREK

MARCH 2018

BHUTAN 2018 – FLYER

I am going to join a group of American and Canadian friends to trek in the high Himalayas of the Kingdom of Bhutan.   We will be trekking along the Druk trail from Paro to Thimphu following the traditional high route at an altitude of 2,400-4,200m for 15 days camping along the way with a few yaks for support. This is a journey I want to share with Hands up for Down’s. This charity is inspirational in supporting families who have children with Down’s syndrome and makes a real difference to the children and family life and needs our help. Your support will be greatly appreciated.  Michelle Valerio.

Hands up for Down’s – A local charity supporting families who have children with Down’s Syndrome in the Swansea Bay area.

The charity was set up by a group of parents to provide advice and support for families and to bridge the gap in the provision of services in the local area.

Hand’s Up For Down’s runs monthly play sessions, provides individual Speech & Language therapy, group gymnastics and physiotherapy, in order to help each child reach their full potential and lead a happy and fulfilling life.

The charity also funds training opportunities and Makaton sign languages courses to equip parents with the skills and knowledge to support members.
